Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize enterprise imaging systems including PACS, VNA, Cardiology PACS, and RIS, with a focus on DICOM routing, prefetching, archival lifecycle management, and multi-site worklist design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RIS, PACS, and imaging workflow issues, collaborating with Informatics, Interoperability, and Biomedical/Healthcare Technology Management teams on interface and modality connectivity problems.
  • Maintain and improve enterprise imaging workflows across Radiology, Cardiology, Women's Health, and point-of-care ultrasound, identifying areas for operational improvement and implementing workflow updates.
  • Support integrations among RIS, dictation, teleradiology, POCUS, and cardiology ECG management platforms, as well as new and evolving imaging-related systems.
  • Ensure all diagnostic imaging systems comply with HIPAA, security standards, and organizational policies, including managing imaging retention, deletion, lifecycle management, and legal hold processes.
  • Provide training to imaging staff, technologists, radiologists, cardiologists, and IT/informatics teams, and develop workflow guides, downtime documents, and routing rule documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Radiology/Imaging, or a related field.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in one or more modalities.
  • 3+ years of experience working with imaging systems, including demonstrated technical responsibility for troubleshooting and support in a Diagnostic Imaging or Radiology setting.
  • 1+ year of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a Radiology Information System (RIS) in a Diagnostic Imaging or Radiology environment.
  • Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards, as well as radiology and cardiology workflows across various modalities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • CT Certification through ARRT.
  • Certified PACS Administrator (CPAS) or Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) designation.
  • Experience with PACS administration and dictation system environments in a diagnostic imaging setting.
