Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a trauma/burn ICU setting, with exposure to medical and cardiac overflow patients
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Accurately document patient care activities using Cerner electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand at time of application (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• First-time travel nursing assignments not accepted for this role
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Cerner charting system
• Background in trauma, burn, or mixed-acuity ICU environments
• Familiarity with Level I trauma center workflows and patient populations
