Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients within a 5-room unit with an average daily census of 25
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status throughout the perioperative continuum
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Float within scope to other units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand at time of application — no exceptions
• Minimum 3 years of Pre/Post-Op RN experience
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Ability and willingness to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate locations as needed
• Candidates previously employed at this facility must have been separated for a minimum of 12 months before applying as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Familiarity with block scheduling environments
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
