Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on a mixed-acuity Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit, including PCU and Medical-Surgical levels of care
- Care for patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses including leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and related disorders
- Support and monitor patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy
- Perform telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and utilize Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, blood product administration, and feeding tube care
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing experience
- Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Skills in telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, and peripheral line care
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology (Heme Onc) nursing experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
