Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across NICU (Level 2, 3, and 4), PICU, and pediatric units within a cardiopulmonary department
- Perform intubations and surfactant administration in neonatal and pediatric critical care settings
- Assist with and provide delivery room respiratory support, including neonatal resuscitation
- Operate and manage specialized ventilatory equipment including Crossvent, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Oscillator, Evolve Nitric Oxide, Airvo, and pneuton devices
- Maintain a patient ratio of 7:1 and float to Adult ICU, general floors, and pediatric units as needed
- Adhere to time and attendance policies, including being clocked in and ready for report no later than 6:37 AM / 6:37 PM; complete 4 weekend shifts per four-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience; NICU (Level 3) and/or PICU experience required — adult-only experience will not be considered
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Delivery room respiratory experience required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) experience beyond certification — demonstrated clinical application in pediatric critical care settings
- Adult respiratory therapy experience in addition to neonatal/pediatric background
- Fast learner with ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
