Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to a diverse patient population including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Maintain a minimum of 11 patient visits per day and 55 visits per week, billing units in accordance with clinic and regional standards
- Perform fall risk assessments and apply appropriate intervention strategies
- Manage and document patient care using NextGen EHR
- Provide treatment across a broad range of orthopedic and neurological conditions including post-operative care, musculoskeletal injuries, and vestibular disorders
- Support case management responsibilities as part of the clinical care team
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in Washington, DC
- Ability to treat adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Proficiency or willingness to learn NextGen EHR documentation system
- Competency in fall risk assessment and case management
- Ability to meet required productivity standards of 11 visits per day and 55 visits per week
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1 or more years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant; new graduates will be considered
- Experience treating orthopedic conditions such as ACL tears, rotator cuff repairs, total joint replacements, disc herniation, and generalized low back pain
- Experience with neurological conditions including concussion, Parkinson's Disease, and vestibular/vertigo disorders
- Familiarity with business casual clinical environment expectations
