Registered Nurse – Hematology (Non-Malignant) Outpatient Clinic

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 5x8-Hour Shifts | No Call, No Float, No Weekend Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform comprehensive patient assessments within a classical hematology outpatient clinic setting
• Perform phlebotomy and provide central line care and access
• Assist with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, and EKG procedures
• Conduct phone triage, patient education, and care coordination calls
• Facilitate appropriate scheduling of patients for infusions and support case management activities
• Document and chart using EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; acute oncology or hematology experience will be considered
• Phlebotomy skills are required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• EPIC electronic health record proficiency required
• Must provide own stethoscope

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior outpatient oncology or hematology clinic experience strongly preferred
• ONS, BMTCN, or OCN certification preferred
• Familiarity with non-malignant hematology diagnoses such as bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell disease, and DVTs
