Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 3x12 per week | 13-Week Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a variable Med/Surg unit with a focus on cardiac and neurology services, including stroke, oncology, surgical, hospice, and telemetry neurology patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, identify and manage dysrhythmias, and perform IV starts
• Care for pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patients as well as general surgical, colorectal, orthopedic, and occasional GYN surgery patients
• Utilize unit systems including EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed and work every other weekend as required
• Participate in hospital and unit orientation, including online pre-start modules, during the first week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Current BLS (BCLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus; first-time travelers will be considered
