Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | 3x12 or 4x12 available | 13-Week Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry overflow unit with a 1:6–7 patient ratio, supported by CNAs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; correctly identify and treat dysrhythmias in collaboration with remote telemetry monitoring staff
• Restore physiologic stability, prevent complications, and maintain optimal patient responses to achieve quality care outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
• Administer and manage medications using Pyxis dispensing system
• Float to sister units as required and fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling commitment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – NC state or Compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers will not be accepted)
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Demonstrated telemetry skills with ability to identify and treat dysrhythmias
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available for all orientation classes during the first week; 36-hour unit orientation required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
• Experience working in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry or similar acute care environment
• Comfort with floating to comparable units within the facility
