Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and maintain accurate, timely documentation including nurse's notes for acute illness, physician visits, and resident status changes.
- Assign, direct, and supervise CNAs performing resident care, ensuring all tasks are completed appropriately.
- Address resident needs and concerns as they arise, entering corresponding documentation in the resident's chart.
- Report changes in resident condition or personnel matters to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and/or Resident Care Coordinator.
- Keep physicians and families informed of residents' status as needed, and notify the MDPOA in a timely manner regarding updates, changes, and new orders.
- Promote teamwork across staff members, shifts, and departments while attending required meetings and educational sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Active LVN or LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) setting.
- Ability to administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete required records accurately and on time.
- Ability to supervise and direct CNA staff during assigned shift.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience functioning as a Charge Nurse or Treatment Nurse in a long-term care environment.
- Familiarity with MDPOA notification protocols and regulatory documentation requirements in LTC/SNF settings.
