Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adults and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Administer and monitor blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and chemotherapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response Teams as clinically indicated
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of overall nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical oncology experience required; at least one inpatient hematology-oncology experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Active BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• Valid RN compact or state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with feeding tube care and management
• Familiarity with self-scheduling practices in a high-acuity inpatient setting
