Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with facility policies and state regulations as a Certified Medication Aide (Level II)
- Provide direct resident care and assistance with activities of daily living in the capacity of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Accurately document medication administration and resident care activities
- Monitor residents for medication side effects or changes in condition and report findings to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe and clean care environment in compliance with applicable standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Medication Aide (Level II) certification in the state of South Dakota
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of South Dakota
- Ability to function in both the Medication Aide and CNA roles as required
- Ability to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and/or nights
- Minimum guaranteed availability of 36 hours per week (12-hour shift schedule) or 40 hours per week (8- to 10-hour shift schedule)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records and medication administration documentation
