- Contract, 13-week duration, nights shift (3x12 hours), potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients in the CVICU, including direct open-heart admissions from the OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT
- Manage acuity levels that may include overflow patients requiring step-down level care
- Adhere to unit protocols and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (WV or Compact) with a minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a similar setting
- Experience with open-heart admissions, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) for 3 consecutive nights
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel or agency nurse experience in CVICU or similar cardiac units
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
