Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Projected Start: August 3, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Ortho/Spine unit supporting patients undergoing knee and hip replacements as well as multi-level spine surgeries
- Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 while delivering compassionate, team-oriented nursing care
- Operate and manage unit-specific equipment including coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
- Document patient information accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and Navigators to ensure continuity of care
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per schedule block and participate in unit float rotation as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Strong orthopedic nursing background
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to meet a patient experience benchmark of 72% or above
- Compliance with required dress code: navy scrubs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an Ortho/Spine specialty unit
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
- Experience with post-surgical orthopedic patient populations including spine surgery recovery
