Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units during night shift hours
• Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed, including forensics and inpatient units
• Deliver safe, competent nursing care to a patient population that includes the incarcerated/forensic population
• Monitor and respond to telemetry and patient status changes in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including a strict no-call attendance policy

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee state license or compact multi-state nursing license (active at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Current CPI certification (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with forensic or incarcerated patient populations
• Experience floating across multiple Med/Surg or Telemetry units in a hospital setting
