Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mother-baby couplets on night shift
- Manage a typical assignment of 4 couplets per nurse during night shift hours
- Deliver couplet care encompassing both maternal and newborn assessment and support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective postpartum outcomes
- Adhere to unit protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of current postpartum/mother-baby nursing experience
- Previous postpartum couplet care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills specific to postpartum and newborn care
- Ability to manage a high-acuity couplet assignment independently on night shift
