Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and revise nursing professional development activities including orientation, precepting, transition to practice programs, simulations, competency validation, computer-based learning, and continuing education courses.
• Serve as a nurse planner for a Montana Nurses Association Approved Provider Continuing Nursing Education Unit in accordance with MNA and ANCC criteria.
• Promote and support evidence-based practice and serve as a program administrator for nursing procedures resources.
• Provide education and professional development services and programs for health system employees across the organization.
• Work varied shifts as needed, including weekends and after-hours, and respond to on-call organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience and/or equivalent health teaching experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of education or training in administrative, management, and leadership principles and practices.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office, EMR systems, and internet applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Instructor certification in one or more of the following: American Heart Association (AHA), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), S.T.A.B.L.E., or TeamSTEPPS.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development and/or an area of clinical specialty.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical nurse educator or staff development role.
