Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating across approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including travel to additional metro area campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias, and manage appropriate clinical responses
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, stroke, renal failure, atrial fibrillation, GI bleed, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and support cardiovascular patient management
• Participate in holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Complete required weekend shifts within the designated scheduling period, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure or a compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, or Neuro Stepdown settings
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and telemetry unit monitoring
• Ability and willingness to float between units and facilities as required; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
• No pending license accepted; active licensure required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management
• Familiarity with Virtual Nursing workflows, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell, and EPIC EMR
