Contract – Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite | Holidays Required | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), focusing on post-operative recovery following cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical procedures
• Perform and interpret complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill surgical patients
• Deliver care in an 8-bed cardiac stepdown unit (CSU), supporting recovery of patients following cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency in a fast-paced critical care environment utilizing a patient-centered approach
• Float to other units and hospital locations as needed
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR; adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AHA PALS certification (required if assigned to pediatric unit)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac surgical or cardiovascular critical care setting
