Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Projected Start: 06/22/2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and complex nursing care for neonatal patients ranging from feeder growers to complex ICU-level neonates in a Level 4 NICU setting, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4.
  • Utilize the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families consistent with level of practice.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect to appropriate resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
  • Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association only).
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
  • Current STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) Certification — Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU or related neonatal nursing specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience in a Perinatal setting or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program.
  • Demonstrated ability to make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers in a complex clinical environment.
