Registered Nurse – Respiratory / Medical-Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required | No Call Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on a Respiratory unit, including care of COVID-positive patients
• Float as needed across various Medical-Surgical units, which may include Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder areas
• Accurately read and interpret telemetry monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Document all patient care activities using Epic EMR with proficiency and accuracy
• Adhere to unit competency requirements and demonstrate clinical skills upon orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Step-Down nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry — competency will be assessed on the first day of assignment
• Current proficiency in Epic EMR — must be documented; refresher training or one-on-one orientation is not available for this role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Respiratory or Pulmonary nursing unit
• Familiarity with caring for patients across multiple Medical-Surgical specialties, including Oncology, Stroke, or Cardiac
