Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (12-hour nights, 18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care for adult medical surgical and surgical stepdown patients with a wide range of diagnoses including post-operative, trauma, and medical conditions
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, monitor telemetry, and utilize Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
• Perform and manage central line care, peripheral line care, surgical drain management, wound care, and wound vac therapy
• Administer blood products and maintain proficiency with non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication framework
• Float to like units as needed and fulfill storm/hurricane/disaster team assignments as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of surgical unit experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Proficiency with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Ability to complete pre-start orientation modules (approximately 8–10 hours) prior to first day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Chest tube management experience (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
• Prior travel nursing experience
