Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently and without supervision
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Commit to weekend availability, including potential frequency beyond every other weekend to meet unit need

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience; 2 or more years strongly preferred
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (hard stop requirement)
• Current ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume acute care Labor and Delivery environment
• Familiarity with Mother Baby unit workflows and cross-unit floating
• Experience with Meditech charting systems
