Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a mixed unit environment encompassing PCU, Med Surg/Telemetry, and Med Surg populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics at a 1:5 staffing ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Manage IV therapy including central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system and administer medications via Pyxis
• Float within the service line and to additional facilities as needed, including every other weekend requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
• Current ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (AHA-issued)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and Med/Surg Telemetry nursing skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local travelers within 50-mile radius are not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are accepted for this unit
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Experience floating across multiple unit types within a hospital or health system
