Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Perform sterile vaginal exams as part of routine Labor and Delivery assessments
- Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Ability to circulate in the OR
- Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience in large acute care hospital settings
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
