Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity PCU and Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving medical oncology patients with a variety of diagnoses including solid tumors and blood cancers
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, bladder scanners, and continuous bladder irrigation systems
• Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and implement patient fall prevention measures
• Participate in self-scheduling by submitting preferred schedule requests within the unit's 4-week scheduling cycle
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as required based on staffing needs
• Complete an orientation period beginning with Monday–Friday dayshift during the first week, followed by 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Ability to comply with Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing
• Minimum of 2 professional references, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable as second reference)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred; candidates without oncology experience are encouraged to apply
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Interest in chemotherapy professional development; opportunity to attend a 2-day chemo training course is available
