• Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location
• Fullerton, CA
Schedule / Job Type
• 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for labor and delivery patients in a high-volume acute care hospital
• Perform sterile vaginal exams independently, with expert-level proficiency, adhering to strict protocols
• Collaborate with obstetric and healthcare teams to deliver quality maternal and newborn care
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Assist with triage, labor management, and postpartum care as necessary
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and credentialing requirements
Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in the state of California
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience, with capability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced certification from AWHONN (or equivalent)
• Aware of and able to meet mandatory exposure to first-time labor patients
• Must be open to working weekends and flexible scheduling, including potential exceeding of alternating weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting with similar patient acuity
• Ability to float between labor and mother-baby units as needed
