Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Weekends plus one weekday shift per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Provide direct patient care in high-acuity intensive care environments, adapting quickly to varying unit cultures and patient populations
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and IV therapy
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with float pool policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Active RN license – valid compact or state license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple ICU specialties or working in a float pool setting
• Familiarity with a broad range of critical care patient populations including neurological, cardiovascular, and surgical cases
