EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Lab)

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday with rotating Saturday call (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with electrophysiology and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique for the diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Prepare examination areas and position patients appropriately for procedures
• Operate complex radiology and EP lab equipment in accordance with established techniques and protocols
• Pass materials and take exposures as directed by the supervising physician during procedures
• Support a department running 2 procedure rooms with a daily volume ranging from 5–10 procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care across the patient population served

Required Qualifications

• Active ARRT license (Illinois license required or application process must be initiated prior to start)
• Experience in a Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab setting
• Ability to work within a sterile technique environment and follow established radiologic procedures
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working alongside electrophysiologists in a procedural lab environment
• Familiarity with arteriograms and other specialized interventional or EP procedures
• Comfort working in a collaborative team environment alongside RNs and physician staff
