Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with nursing scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, culture, and age.
• Administer treatments, therapies, and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining procedures and expected outcomes.
• Monitor, recognize, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning, including education and collaboration with case management teams.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members and oversee their performance.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and uphold evidence-based practice standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong assessment skills with a holistic approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• BSN degree or higher preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital quality metrics and compliance standards.
