Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Projected Start: July 13, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those supported by ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic status using PA catheters and bedside telemetry equipment
- Operate and manage advanced cardiac support devices including IABP, Impella, and CRRT as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Adhere to scheduling requirements including 2 weekends per month and assigned holiday coverage; float to other ICUs or floors as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience with demonstrated CVICU experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proficiency with PA catheter placement and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Alaris IV pumps
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT devices
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
- Background in high-volume, advanced cardiac surgery post-operative care environments
