Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts per month) | Weekend rotation as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist across a broad range of surgical specialties including Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN cases
• Participate in on-call coverage of up to 4 shifts per month with end-of-shift call at 7:00 AM
• Rotate weekend shifts as needed, including Saturday or Sunday 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Float within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
• Utilize EPIC electronic charting system for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as directed, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Level I trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
• Experience with ENT flap procedures
• Robotic surgery experience, specifically da Vinci Xi platform
