• Registered Nurse – Oncology
Location

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week contract, Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, Nights
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients within a fast-paced hospital environment
• Administer chemotherapy and other medications, following established protocols and safety standards
• Perform central line and mediport access, dressing changes, and lab draws
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to medical emergencies as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license—temporary licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 5+ years of RN experience, with significant Med-Surg/Tele and Oncology background
• BLS certification
• Proven experience with chemotherapy administration and managing central lines/midports
• Ability to float to different units as needed per hospital policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certification in Chemotherapy administration preferred
• Experience with Meditech, Mediports, PICCs, and central lines
• Strong knowledge of oncology procedures and patient care protocols
