Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite | Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:3
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring as part of routine patient care
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level within the organization as needed
• Work weekend shifts and rotating holidays as required by unit scheduling
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the facility's electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – valid compact or state license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated IV start skills required
• Telemetry monitoring skills required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to new unit environments and varying patient populations
