Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct services for students with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and/or physical disabilities in school-based and therapeutic settings
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with student IEPs and educational needs
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeting fine motor, sensory regulation, adaptive living, social-emotional, and functional skills
- Conduct sensory and functional assessments to identify barriers to student participation and independence
- Train and support staff on sensory strategies, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic techniques within classroom and school environments
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, treatment notes, and IEP-related materials in compliance with state and school regulations
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy Licensure
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Experience working with children with profound or severe special needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with families, educators, and multidisciplinary staff
- Experience working with diverse student populations in school-based settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral supports
