Contract | Travel | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 36–48 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing to trauma and surgical patients on a dedicated Trauma Surgical Unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Deliver specialized care to orthopedic and urology patient populations in addition to trauma and surgical cases
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team including family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists to address each patient's individualized needs
• Care for patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, testing, and observation, ensuring individualized attention throughout their stay
• Float to other units and hospital locations as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior experience in a trauma or surgical unit setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
