Contract | Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays and Weekends | 13-Week Contract with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for CVICU patients, including fresh open-heart surgery admissions from the OR
• Perform and interpret hemodynamic pressure monitoring, including Swan-Ganz catheter management
• Monitor and manage patients on Impella devices and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Perform and interpret Activated Clotting Time (ACT) testing as required by unit protocols
• Maintain a standard patient ratio of 1:2, with flexibility to accommodate step-down level overflow patients based on acuity
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in WV or a Compact state (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with demonstrated CVICU or cardiac surgery experience
• Hands-on experience with ACT (Activated Clotting Time) — required
• Experience with direct open-heart OR admissions, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT — required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience managing complex cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
