Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days Shift | Onsite | Block Schedule (8-hour shifts) | Every other weekend required | Must be available for at least half of holidays during assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments and provide direct patient care for a long-term care population including dementia, frail elderly, and rehabilitation patients
- Administer medications and carry out charge nurse duties on the unit
- Perform clinical skills including IV management, catheterizations, ostomy care, and other advanced nursing procedures
- Complete accurate and timely charting and documentation using the facility EMR system (ECS)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including therapy, social work, dietary, and administration
- Float to other units as needed per facility requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience working with elderly patients in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Proficiency with IV therapy and titratable drips
- Ability to adhere to facility dress code (any solid color, clean and professional scrubs)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a nursing home or hospital-attached long-term care environment
- Familiarity with ECS or similar long-term care EMR platforms
- Experience with dementia care and post-acute rehabilitation populations
