Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Travel Only
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with a focus on transplant patients including kidney, kidney-pancreas, pancreas, and liver transplant
- Educate patients on self-management of medications, dietary changes, and recognition of rejection symptoms in preparation for discharge
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient care
- Deliver excellent customer service with a strong focus on patient experience and HCAHPS outcomes
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or compact license on file at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting
- Prior travel nursing experience in a large Level I trauma facility
- Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in transplant nursing (kidney, pancreas, and/or liver)
- Demonstrated commitment to patient education and discharge planning for transplant populations
