Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematological conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating concerns through Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
• Manage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and feeding tubes; perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
• Administer blood products and IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with EPIC computerized charting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (note: chemo certification is not required for this role)
• NIHSS certification
• Prior experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
