Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematological conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating concerns through Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Manage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and feeding tubes; perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
- Administer blood products and IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
- Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with EPIC computerized charting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification (note: chemo certification is not required for this role)
- NIHSS certification
- Prior experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
