Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care on a 36-bed Medical Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU-level care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry using GE B450 monitors and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, ports, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer blood products, manage cardiac drips, and titrate medications per protocol
• Operate and monitor respiratory support equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and implement patient fall prevention measures

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Demonstrated high-acuity PCU patient care experience
• Proficiency with telemetry interpretation, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, chest tubes, and ABG interpretation
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience with arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, and surgical drains
• Phlebotomy skills and experience with non-invasive airway management
