Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy treatment upon physician referral
- Treat patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to relieve pain and develop, restore, or maintain physical function
- Utilize therapeutic modalities including exercise, massage, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, and sound
- Collaborate with family members and health team members regarding patient abilities and goals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
- Must meet all requisites for licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health
- Current valid Oregon driver's license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Thorough knowledge of therapy procedures, orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices
- Strong communication skills and effective team interaction, support, and respect
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior clinical experience in occupational therapy is desired, though not required if all other qualifications are met
- Basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, and sending email messages
