Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and manage annual budget; recruit, hire, and maintain appropriate staffing levels using scheduling systems
• Participate in state and/or federal nursing home survey processes; develop and implement plans of correction and participate in QA/CQI initiatives
• Lead management, monitoring, and auditing of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, including training, documentation, and reporting
• Oversee comprehensive nursing assessments for all residents on admission and on an ongoing basis; ensure individualized care plans are developed, evaluated, and updated in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Ensure residents are free from neglect or abuse; immediately report concerns related to resident rights in accordance with facility policy
• Supervise assigned staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution to foster an engaged work environment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (South Dakota)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills, including therapeutic effects and side effects of administered medications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Familiarity with EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and regulatory compliance processes in LTC/SNF environments
