Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care / Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services in an acute care hospital setting, including ICU, ED, and Medical/Surgical units
• Support NICU respiratory care for candidates with applicable experience
• Operate within a Level II Trauma Center environment alongside a team of 7–10 Respiratory Therapists based on census
• Maintain accurate and timely patient charting using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float to other units within the facility as needed based on census and staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT considered
• Valid Virginia state license in hand at time of submittal, or proof of compact license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• PALS certification through AHA preferred; required if covering pediatric areas
• Specialty experience within the last year in the applicable unit(s)
• EPIC electronic health records experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification for candidates with NICU experience
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or multi-ICU acute care environment
• Familiarity with neuro diagnostics or neurological patient populations
