Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Days shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of specialties including orthopedic, spine, joint replacement, ENT, urology, vascular, thoracic, and plastic surgery.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech system.
• Participate in on-call rotations (1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4 weeks).
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Florida.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an acute OR setting.
• Experience with orthopedic, spine, joint replacement, knee, and hip replacement surgeries.
• Proficiency in scrub and circulating roles across all service lines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification.
• CNOR certification.
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced surgical environment and work independently.
