Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Rotating Weekends Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments in accordance with facility protocols
• Conduct scope reprocessing following established standards and procedures
• Support surgical services across a variety of case types including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
• Participate in on-call rotation, with call coverage required at least once every two months (Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Document and chart using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required
• Active CBSPD and/or HSPA national certification required
• Demonstrated experience with sterilization, decontamination, instrument assembly/wrapping, and scope reprocessing
• Level I trauma experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex surgical case types including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably at a Level III Trauma Center
