Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Rotating Weekends Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Decontaminate, assemble, and wrap surgical instrument sets for use in the operating room
• Conduct scope reprocessing following established safety and quality standards
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required by department scheduling
• Fulfill on-call obligations as assigned, including weekend call coverage on a rotating basis
• Support surgical services across a range of specialty case types as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing technician experience
• Hands-on experience with sterilization, decontamination, instrument assembly/wrapping, and scope reprocessing
• National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
• Experience supporting Level I trauma cases
• Proficiency or ability to work within an Epic charting environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialty surgical cases including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN
• Familiarity with acute care hospital environments
• Experience in a Level III Trauma designated facility
