Key Responsibilities

• Support and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
• Scrub in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures, assisting during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Prepare and position patients, and set up equipment for all procedures.
• Operate and run X-ray equipment associated with procedures, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnosis.
• Evaluate images to confirm adequate density, contrast, and detail for accurate interpretation.
• Perform special procedures radiography using appropriate technology and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized procedural environment, ensuring equipment and tables are sanitized and ready for subsequent use.
• Restock materials and supplies to ensure readiness for incoming cases.
• Complete examinations within the designated time frame, adhering to department standards.
• Review requisitions to include relevant information and special instructions.
• Observe and report any unusual reactions or patient conditions to the nursing staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility by rotating across shifts or departments to meet staffing and patient care needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current NH ARRT Radiologic Technologist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Ability to take call as required.
• Proficiency in performing procedures such as balloon pump and Impella.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with all aspects of scrubbing and operating X-ray equipment in cardiac and special procedures labs.
• Knowledge of procedural area sterilization and equipment cleaning protocols.
• Strong patient communication skills, including explaining procedures and involving patients in their care.
