Physical Therapist – Acute Care Inpatient

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (8:00–18:30) | Onsite | Minimum 2 Weekends Per Month Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to acute care inpatient population with an orthopedic-heavy caseload
• Deliver care within a Stroke Certified Center environment
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 10 patients
• Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
• Float between facilities within the state as required by assignment needs

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required; 3 or more years preferred
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 2 weekends per month
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days (required at time of start)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of acute care inpatient physical therapy experience
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior experience in a Stroke Certified or Magnet-designated facility
