Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, nights, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare the surgical environment by scrubbing into cases, setting up instruments, supplies, and ensuring sterilization.
• Maintain the sterile field during procedures, assist with passing instruments, and support the surgeon with tasks such as suturing or applying electrocautery under supervision.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assist with post-case clean-up, including instrument decontamination, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and the surgical suite is disinfected and stocked for upcoming procedures.
• Complete mandatory hospital education, maintain compliance with policies, and adhere to safety standards within the operating room.

Required Qualifications
• Technical Diploma from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or comparable military training.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of surgical technologist experience.
• BLS certification.
• Certification such as NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C).
• Ability to practice effective communication, teamwork, and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• Experience working in a surgical setting with diverse procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
